Welcome to Fifth Grade Band
Practice Schedule
Continuing band students should practice five to six days a week for 20 minute sessions Students are given an assigment each week to complete in their lesson book.
Each student has a practice journal where they enter their weekly assignments and record their practice time.
Mrs. Ayasse will check this journal at each lesson

Supply List
All students need:
- Standard of Excellence Book 1
- Notebook
- A folder
- A pencil
- A music stand - for home use
Flute students need:
- A soft cloth
- A cleaning rod
Clarinet and Saxophone students need:
- A silk or cotton swab
- A box of reeds - size 2 1/2
- Cork grease
Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, French Horn, and Tuba students need:
- Valve oil or slide grease
- A mouthpiece brush
Percussion students need:
- SD 1 General Vic Firth drum sticks
- A drum pad and stand
- Roy Burns Elementary Drum Method
- Bell set
